No, no, no.  that wasn't me on the flash intro doing the Xtreme Sports.  As this website is wide-open to invited and uninvited guests alike, we (Y & C) have decided to be discrete about our personal information.  You know who we are.  And those of you whom we don't know.... You don't need to know who we are without benefiting from browsing these few pages.

On a recent trip to Costa Rica, I saw the most heart-warming smile on my daughter's face.  S is 3 now.  She is able to communicate through rich facial expressions.  And when she was holding the colorful Red-eyed tree frog (Agalychnis callidyras) on her hand, she had the most satisfying, awe-stricken, euphoric look on her face.   That expression gave me a glimpse of how much a father longs to do whatever it takes to bring delight to a daughter's heart.

In this website, I am transferring some of my old entries from another BLOG as well as organizing a photo gallery for those of you who wish to keep up with our aging process.  I call your attention to the section called "Ponder" where you might catch a glimpse of things that I wrestle with.  As I am discovering more and more, my wife is a pretty "deep" person who perhaps has untapped creativity that surpasses mine.  She thinks profoundly and, after 10+ years of getting married to her, I am discovering wonderful perspectives because of the way she inspires me.  So, some of the entries on this website might actually come from her. 

Keep on aspiring for what is noble and excellent, my friend.  Life is about saying Yes to the right things.  As you and I grow older, may we learn to cherish the simple things in life.  While many things in life are delicious, not all of them are essential.  May you have wisdom to discern the two.
